A New York Times bestseller, Google's personal growth pioneer offers a proven program designed to enhance mindfulness and emotional intelligence in life and work.
Foreword by Daniel Goleman, author of the international bestseller Emotional Intelligence, as well as an introduction by Jon Kabat-Zinn, the author of Coming To Our Senses.
Chade-Meng Tan (Meng) originally developed Search Inside Yourself at Google to improve the personal and professional lives of employees by enhancing productivity, creativity, and ultimately day-to-day happiness through the practice of mindfulness. Meng's job is to teach the best and brightest how to apply mindfulness techniques to their life and work, producing happier, healthier, and more creative employees. In little over a decade, Google has revolutionized the way business is done. Part of the success is a direct result of an unorthodox approach to personnel and management. Search Inside Yourself is very much part of this pioneering mindset. This book is the course that is improving the emotional intelligence of those behind one of the most innovative and successful businesses in the world. Now in paperback, we all get inside access to one of the most sought after classes in the country.
In a wholly unique, entertaining and affable program, Meng guides the reader on a prescriptive journey inward. Beginning with explaining both the practice and benefits of cultivating mindfulness, Search Inside Yourself will show us how to harness and transform clarity into self-confidence, optimism into creating ideal outcomes, empathy into leadership and improved social skills. The tools taught will not only help us better understand ourselves but they will enable us to be more successful, productive and happier in all areas of our life.
