World-Active: Facts and Puzzles About Our World - Brossura

This global activity book incorporates facts and information as well as puzzles, games and ideas for all kinds of fun things to do, based partly on Oxfam's own involvement in Third World countries and the work they do, and partly on worldwide themes and issues of interest to children. Included are facts on the kinds of changes our planet is undergoing - from population explosions to desertification - plus maps and activites using them, details on individual countries or areas, an themes such as food and farming. Also included are recipes and simple instructions for growing unusual plants, word puzzles and lots more, like how to tie-dye a t-shirt, grow an avocado pip and making groundnut soup.
