John Gierach is a freelance journalist and self-described trout bum. He is the author of nine previous books, including Another Lousy Day in Paradise and Sex, Death, and Fly-Fishing. Gierach's work has appeared in Field & Stream, Fly Fisherman, and Fly Rod & Reel, among other publications. He lives in Lyons, Colorado.
