Howard Norman is the author of five novels, including Northern Lights and The Bird Artist, both National Book Award finalists, and The Museum Guard.In 1997 he received a Lannan Award in fiction. Norman teaches at the University of Maryland and divides his time between Washington, D.C. and Vermont.
