Forrest Hylton teaches history and politics at la Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá), and is the author of several works of non-fiction, including the acclaimed Evil Hour in Colombia (Verso Press, 2006) and Revolutionary Horizons: Past and Present in Bolivian Politics (Verso Press, 2007). His short fiction and translations have appeared in The Brooklyn Rail. A popular blogger and pundit on the subject of Latin American politics, Hylton lives in Bogotá, Colombia for most of each year.
