On a family trip to visit her grandmother Mai in India, a little girl loses her two front teeth. But instead of getting a visit from the tooth fairy, her grandmother takes her teeth and throws them on the roof. Will the girl get her teeth back? And how can she understand Mai’s strange behavior? In this book written by Sujatha Fernandes, the loving bonds between a child and grandparent are rekindled. The brightly colorful illustrations by artist Christina Fernandes evoke the seaside town of Mangalore, where they both spent many memorable family vacations.
