From her lookout in the crumbling mansion that was their childhood home, Ginny watches and waits for her younger sister, Vivien. It has been nearly 50 years since Vivien left home, and she hasn’t returned until now. The reclusive Ginny has only rarely ventured out, retreating into the precise routines that define her days, carrying on her father’s solitary work studying moths and caring for him after her mother’s tragic death. As the sisters revisit their shared past, long-forgotten memories are stirred, and the secrets that have separated the two women threaten to disrupt much more than Ginny’s carefully ordered world.
