Poetic and lyrical ... Beautiful, ethereal Jinnie floats through a succession of colourful, gauzy illustrations, all spangled with decorative detail. (Times Educational Supplement)
This lyrical poem is matched by Jane Ray's ethereal illustrations, full of exotic fabrics and textures and hypnotic colours. A beautiful book to own and a delight to read aloud. (The Ultimate First Book Guide)
There’s a spell-binding lyricism to this magical story about Jinnie Ghost who floats along the street calling on all the children as they sleep. Jinnie Ghost brings dreams, beautiful dreams, frightening dreams, active dreams and Jane Ray captures them all in her cleverly created and atmospheric illustrations. (Book Ahead 0-7)
