Brian Gibbons is the General Editor of the New Cambridge Shakespeare and Professor of English Literature at the University of Münster. His other works on Shakespeare include a book, Shakespeare and Multiplicity, an edition of Measure for Measure for the New Cambridge Shakespeare, and an essay entitled "Doubles and Likenesses-with-difference: The Comedy of Errors and The Winter's Tale". He also served as General Editor for the New Mermaid Anthology of plays, and has written extensively on Elizabethan and Jacobean theater.
