Cette légende a fourni le sujet du drame qui nous intéresse, un des premiers du théâtre romantique après le triomphe d''Hernani', de Victor Hugo en 1830. Léonet de Bournouville, page du duc de Bourgogne, est l'amant de la princesse Marguerite ; de cette liaison, deux enfants sont nés.
