Marquand: inscribed & signed to the actor in the play: "For: John Cromwell- My thanks and appreciation Paul Osborn" (John Cromwell was an actor in the play), and then SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author of the novel:"And these sentiments are echoed by John P. Marquand."; first edition of the play version; 182pp, size: 5-1/2x8-1/4in; cloth boards; a b&w Henry Fonda and Leora Dana on the cloth board's front cover, they were starring in the N.Y.City Broadway Production; also the book has one b&w photo of Henry Fonda and another actor in from the play; book is tight, browning and some tears to edges of dust jacket especially at spine but it also has the original flaps & price; the boards are still bright but have some very tiny nicks especially on spine's edges, normal aging to interior pages, but overall the interior and boards in GOOD COND. SIGNED.
