Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Fine. First U.S. edition. First published in Canada by McClelland & Stewart, this is the first U.S. edition of Ms Atwood's first collection of short fiction since 2006's "Moral Disorder". Apart from very minor softening at head of spine, a fine copy in fine dust jacket. I'd just like to draw attention here to one Pei Loi Koay, a senior book designer. This person's work has come to my notice before, mostly in a positive way with, for instance, the design of Erin Morgenstern's "The Night Circus". However, I can't help but feel that with this Atwood book, there has been a misstep. Pei Loi has decided here not to justify the text, just having it flush left and therefore leaving a ragged right edge. I find this to be disconcerting. Please, Pei Loi, let's have no more of this.

Libro Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. 1st Edition. "Look at Me" was Egan's second novel, and third book, following "The Invisible Circus" and the short story collection, "Emerald City". This copy carries a warm, signed inscription from the author on the title page: "To Kathryn - fellow writer and wonderful person! With very best wishes on your own work - XXX" followed by a lovely example of the author's signature. She has also dated the inscription "Oct 22, 2001" (the month the book was published). Don't you just love to speculate? Who is "Kathryn"? I offer two possibilities: 1) Kathryn Harrison, because I think they might be acquainted since Egan subsequently wrote a glowing endorsement for Harrison's 2012 novel, "Enchantments". 2) Kathryn Davis, since they've both had work featured on TNB Fiction. There are undoubtedly other writers called Kathryn, but my money would be on one of these two. What do you think? Anyway, a lovely author-to-author copy. Just short of lovely condition, though! I think Kathryn carried this book around with her and read it thoroughly! Spine ends are bumped and worn and boards show some slight soiling. A very good copy. Jacket is very good, but a bit rubbed and top edge is a little worn. Inscribed by Author(s).
