Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Chromolitho Frontis and B&w plates; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 144 pages; Circa [1906] McLoughlin Brothers. Larger octavo HC soundly bound in original green cloth with decorative pictorial design in red, black, yellow and white to cover and title design in black to spine. Titled at spine and cover as "A Christmas Carol." Chromolithograph frontis from A Christmas Carol suggests a printing date of 1900 -1909. Around 1909-1910 we have observed that the McLoghlin titles replaced the chromolitho printed color plate with a color litho plate. Plain white endpapers with mild foxing; mild foxing to page block edges. Light flecking / mottling to cloth boards and a small spot of spill soiling to the bottom front corner. Chromo frontis and b&w figures from woodcuts. Light shelf rubbing to cloth at tips and ends. Solid and still attractive early copy. VG.
